Για το λόγο αυτό, σιγά – σιγά, κυριεύουμε όχι μόνο τους αιθέρες, αλλά και το διάστημα !!!
Το Αμερικανικό Ινστιτούτο Αεροναυπηγικής και Αστροναυτικής (AIAA) βράβευσε πρόσφατα τον Δημήτρη Παπαμόσχου (ΛΛΝΣ – 1977) για την συμβολή του στη μείωση θορύβου των υπερηχητικών αεροσκαφών :

” … An AIAA Fellow, Papamoschou researches new ways to suppress sound generated from aircraft engines by investigating compressible turbulence, jet and fan aeroacoustics, mixing enhancement and advanced microphone phased-array methods. In addition to collaborating with UC Irvine researchers, he regularly partners with outside institutions, including NASA’s Glenn Research Center and Langley Research Center, the Goodrich Corp., the Boeing Co. and others. Brenda Henderson of NASA Glenn Research Center nominated him for the Aeroacoustics Award, which he will receive in June during the AIAA Aviation and Aeronautics Forum and Exposition in Denver, Colo …”
