Barely having enough time to clear my mind from all the emotions of my recent experience at the North Pole Marathon, I found myself running in the technical terrains of the beautiful Peneda-Geres Natioal Park in Portugal.

Fortunately, I had registered for the 4-day race (instead of 7-day) 135km race, and I truly enjoyed running it. In actual fact, the decision for me to do this race was prompted by the fact that many of our running friends will be there too – and there is nothing better than to run with so many good friends around!

Given the level of (non) training that I had following my last race, I was really happy to finish in the second position and to push my limits among some very strong runners. And now, it’s time for us to relax by hopping from one wineries to another in the famous Douro Valley.
